TCA Peel FAQ's

What is a chemical Peel?
Chemical peel treatments eliminate wrinkles, pigment spots, facial scarring and rough, dry or dull looking skin. These treatments are an excellent way to achieve dramatic improvements of epidermal renewal, increase skin tone and reduce superficial lines.

What is TCA?
TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) is an acid which will corrode the very superficial layers of the skin. After peeling off these layers the new group of skin will give a smooth and youthful look.

How does chemical peeling work?
Chemical peeling promotes acceleration in the turnover of skin cells induced by the cauterizing peeling agent. The depth of the peel will determine the number of layers of skin that are affected. The skin responds with shedding, promoting new cell growth a new formation of natural collagen. The rapid turnover of cells also has the benefit of moving pigment to the surface and shedding it, thus eliminating brown pigment.
